The Czech ski area of Klínovec continues its lift modernization with an investment of €5,8 million in a new chair lift and the improvement of snow-making facilities.
Only 120 km from Prague, 100 km from Pilsen and 15 km from Karlovy Vary you will find the full comfort of the top ski resort. You can take daily groomed ski slopes with artificial snow for granted. State of the art system of snow making has been improved this year by adding five more snow guns. You can enjoy riding on 18km of pistes with four chairlifts, five ski lifts and three magic carpets for children in children snow parks. New ski chairlifts are covered with our typical orange bubble, which provides great comfort when you are on your way to your skiing adventure. The longest chairlift is in service on the new piste from Jáchymov, which is with its length 2950 m and width 50 - 100 m one of the longest and widest pistes in the Czech Republic.
Moreover, a part of the Přemostěná piste has been extended under a bridge across the road, which has significantly improved the connection of the Turistická piste to Suzuki chairlift and thus this part of the ski resort has become much more attractive for visitors.
Freestyle fans can look forward to Funpark with a range of obstacles and jumps, which is being prepared. Freeride lovers can take advantage of two kilometres of ungroomed ski slopes with natural snow if weather conditions allow. Ski rentals and certified instructors in ski schools are available. Multiday skipasses are valid also in the neighbouring ski area Fichtelberg in Germany. The Interskiregion Fichtelberg - Klínovec thus offers 34 km of pistes, 1 cableway, 6 chairlifts and 11 skilifts. The connections between the ski areas is serviced by a free ski bus. It is possible to buy a ski pass online which will save your time as well as money.
During and after skiing you can choose from several restaurants, fast food stalls, ski bars and apres ski tents, where you can get fresh food and drinks of all klinds that are daily prepared for you. For cross country skiers there are 50 km of groomed crosscountry skiing trails, including the popular skiing trail leading to Horní Halže.
